    Product Description

Our Stove Restorer is an easy-to-use restoration alternative to Stove Paint that puts the black back into all log burners, grates, and fireplaces. Simply rub the Stove Restorer coating into the metal, polish off, and light the stove to cure. Your stove will then be restored.

It produces a lovely, natural finish, restoring the black colour with just one simple application. It’s much easier to use than Stove Paint, and produces incredibly similar results covering faded and worn areas of metal.

Unlike Stove Paint it is non-toxic and non-flammable, and is very low odour. Once applied and dried (10 mins), it will not flake or peel off and will be resistant to extremely high temperatures.

    How to use Stove Restorer

Clean the metal first to remove and soot, ash and dirt. If you’re restoring a log burner, then clean the glass at this stage too. To do this, we recommend using our Stove Glass & Metal Cleaner.

Dip a sponge into the Stove Restorer and rub it into the metal. You’ll notice it puts the black back into the stove immediately. Leave the Stove Restorer to dry for 10 minutes, then polish with a clean cloth. Light the stove to cure.

If you have heavily faded or marked metal, you may need to apply a second coat to those areas to thoroughly cover it.

    Stove Restorer FAQs

    Q. Is it a Stove Paint?
    A. It is like a stove paint in the sense that it will put the black back into the metal, but it doesn’t apply a painted layer on top of the metal like a stove paint will.

This makes it much easier to use than stove paint, but more importantly, you don’t need to worry about it peeling, flaking or burning off.

    Q. How is it different from a traditional Stove Polish?
    A. It is very similar to stove polishes but our Stove Restorer is based on modern chemistry. We’ve made it using water-based products so it is easier and safer to use.

The product is applied in the same way as a stove polish, and buffed too, making it very easy to use. However, it keeps the natural matt look of metal, rather than polishing to a shine like most polishes.

Furthermore, as it is a low odour product, there will be no fumes when applying or curing the Stove Restorer.

    Q. How long do the results last?
    A. The Stove Restorer will fade over time and with use, but there is a sufficient amount of product in the pot for multiple applications. We would recommend reapplying the Stove Restorer at least once a year.
